Sep 11 2007

Let me update you with our present situation. My wife underwent a very successful 4-hour operation at Polymedic Hospital. The operation was done by a christian ortho surgeon, Dr. Jose Aliling. She was discharged from the Hospital last Friday. I praise God for how He has graciously provided for our needs. Actually, when I decided to have her knee operated in a private hospital, I just trusted the Lord to provide for our needs. My first concern was my wife's safety.Anyway, on our last day at the hospital, our bill was 58,000 pesos, excluding doctors' fees (Surgeon, monitoring doctor and anesthesiologist). To my amazement, the surgeon and the monitoring doctor did not charge me anything and the anesthesiologist gave me 50% discount.I was told that the surgeon could have charged me P80,000 for that kind of operation and the other doctor, P20,000. With my Philhealth deduction, I only paid the hospital 45,000 plus my payment of 16,000 to the anesthesiologist which amounted to 61,000 ...

Aug 2007, My wife's knee

Greetings! God allows things to happen that we don't expect and understand but they happen for a divine purpose. That is my comfort right now as my wife and I are going through trying and toiugh times in our lives. Two weeks ago I noticed a cyst located on the left part of my neck. It started very small which grew bigger in a matter of two weeks. For peace of mind, last thursday my wife and I went to the doctor for check up and I was told that it was not something life threatening but still has to be removed by surgery. We went home very happy and thanked God for the result of the check up. At about 9:30pm, my wife fell due to a slippery portion somewhere near our gate and her left knee cap was dislocated. When I was notified about what happen to her, I immediately went to the place to see what happened to my wife. I found her sitting on the floor and could not move her left knee and it was swollen. I knew that there was something wrong. I rushed her to a nearby hospital and it was ...
