Last January 4-5, IGS celebrated her 6th year anniversary at Pook Biyaya in San Pablo City. Close to 80 pastors and workers coming from Laguna, Batangas, Rizal. Quezon, Pampanga and Marikina attended the said event. On the night of the celebration (January 4), the program started with a lively singing headed by the music team of First Fundamental Baptist Church led by Pastor Joel Saladaga. The evening's celebration was blessed with a preaching delivered by Rev. Bayani de Jesus, senior pastor of first Fundamental Baptist Church, on the theme, "Pursuing Excellence in Christian Service". A new structure of IGS ministry called ASSIST was presented by Rev. Mike Menez who is the Executive Director of IGS.On the following day (Jan. 5), the program was highlighted by a very strong message shared by Dr. Donald Ackerman, Philippine Director of Trinity Bible College and Seminary which is a distance learning program offering bachelor, masteral and doctorate degrees.

Lessons in Job

Job 1:20-21 20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said:“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised."  Lesson: When we are faced with difficult situations, instead of blaming and complaining against God, let us recognize that God is in charge no matter what happens to us. This will lead us to praise and worship God despite what we go through."

Lessons in Isaiah

Isaiah 53:5-6 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Lesson: It could have been us who died because of our sin, but Christ took our place and paid for our sin in full when He died for us on the cross of Calvary. Because of this, salvation is made available to us, which we now enjoy because of our faith in Him. Let us forever be grateful to Him.

Lessons in 1 John

1 John 4:11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. Lesson: The model for us in loving one another is the love of God for us. The way God has loved us is the way we should love one another. He should be our standard, not human love. While God's love is unconditional, sincere, and selfless, human love is often the opposite.
